Sam Brown And His Feud With Twitter
Retired Army Captain Sam Brown has come out all guns blazing as he hopes to challenge the political class in the capital. This would come in well with his proposed candidature in the Republican Senate with his recent campaign. In a telephonic interview with Fox News, he stated that he had made up his decision to run for the Senate simply because the people of this country needed a champion who would be leading them based on values that were shared.
Further, he has believed that the current political strata donât have a vested interest in the growth of the country. Rather, they are mostly focused on political talking points and special interest groups. He asserts that he would be one such leader who would care about the entire population.
Sam Brownâs War On Twitter Reaching New HeightsInterestingly, before Sam Brown could even launch his campaign, he faced Twitter that had flagged a picture of him on the 4th of July as potentially sensitive. The Retired Army Captain slammed the social networking website- where he remarked that the social media site had considered his picture to be potentially sensitive due to his face which had been charred by an IED explosion in Afghanistan back in â08. Immediately after that, his launch video for his campaign was hit with the same warning label.
Twitterâs spokesperson pushed back on the allegations, claiming that such warnings can easily be enabled and disabled- especially based on the account settings of the user. Nevertheless, Sam Brown hasnât backed down. The potential candidate for the Senate has claimed that the action of Twitter is nothing new it had been doing the same for quite some time now. He provided Donald Trumpâs deplatforming as an example- where he believes Twitter is trying to silence conservative voices who are simply looking towards putting their concerns, ideas, and solutions out in the open.
